OnePlus 6T Has Edge To Edge Display, Reveals Official Teaser

The phone is expected to come in midnight black and mirror black colour options, and a white and red colour options will be added later. We also know that the 6T won't have a headphone jack - something that nobody asked for, and yet something that was worth losing in favor of the new fingerprint scanner, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau claims. Unlike some of its competitors who prefer secrecy leading up to an unveiling, OnePlus has been rather forthcoming with details regarding its new handset. That is exactly what seems to have happened overnight for the renders of the OnePlus 6T.

Elsewhere, not too much is known about the OnePlus 6T.

However, if OnePlus is able to bundle some of these accessories with the upcoming flagship, it will make the smartphone deal a whole lot sweeter for a lot of customers. Though the notch area in the OnePlus 6 is among the smallest when compared with other notch screen-based smartphones, it would be trimmed even more and reduced to a size of a big dot, enough to accommodate just the front camera.

The battery on the OnePlus 6T has also been upgraded to 3700mAh which will be promising better battery life.

The OnePlus 6T may not be out yet, but we still know a fair bit about the phone through reliable insider reports and rumors.

The new notch is called a "waterdrop notch", according to the internet, and looks more like the camera is sitting on the top of the screen and sagging down into the rest of the display. Considering the teaser, the OnePlus 6T is likely to offer the highest screen to body ratio that we have seen on any OnePlus smartphone to date. Another major change in the OnePlus 6T is that there is no 3.5mm headphone jack in the device and there is only one USB Type-C port for both charging and connecting wired headphones (with Type-C connector). The device is expected to launch sometime this month, joining OnePlus' never-settling collection of flagship Android devices.

Speaking of technical specifications, the upcoming smartphone is expected to be similar to the OnePlus 6 i.e. Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 system-on-chip (SoC) and three RAM & storage configurations - 6GB/64GB, 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB.
