Fox Hires Former White House Communications Director Hope Hicks

Hicks resigned from the White House in February.

New Fox will include the Fox broadcast network, its sports unit FS1, and Fox News, which is America's leading cable news network. National Security Adviser John Bolton was a Fox News contributor who frequently appeared on television before Mr. Trump plucked him to lead the National Security Council. At age 29, Hicks has limited media-business experience, and has never run corporate communications for a publicly traded company before.

Hicks served as communications director for Trump from August 2017 until the end of March of this year.

A longtime confidant of Donald Trump, Hicks was the press secretary on his 2016 campaign.

Hicks may have legal exposure in the Russian Federation investigations, she has been interviewed by special counsel investigators.

Once the new Fox is spun off, Hicks will lead the company's communications strategy from Los Angeles.

In July, Disney outbid Comcast Corp with a $71.3 billion offer to buy some assets from Fox.

Chief legal and policy officer Viet Dinh announced Ms Hicks's hiring on Monday. The company also named Danny O'Brien as their Executive Vice President and Head of Government Relations. O'Brien was previously chief of staff for Democrats Joe Biden and Robert Menendez.

Hicks had a mostly behind-the-scenes role at the White House. So happy for my friend. "They are beyond lucky to have you".
