Flood warnings as heavy rain expected over much of Missouri

A flash flood watch is in effect through 11 p.m. along the Interstate 95 corridor, including in Baltimore, southern Baltimore County, and Howard and Anne Arundel counties.

An additional 1 to 3 inches of rainfall is possible through Sunday night. Rain and thunderstorms become more widespread heading into Friday and especially Friday night.

This rain will also keep temperatures on the cool side.

Southern Ontario is expected to be under a little water over the next two days as the last vestiges of Tropical Storm Gordon, which now has Cleveland, Ohio under a severe weather warning, blows this way.

Heavy rain expected for Toronto starting Sunday night

And that 4 inches is on top of about 1 inch that central OH had already received from the storm system as of 6 p.m. Saturday after about 18 hours of on-and-off rain.

Waterloo Region could get between 5 and 10 millimetres of rain. "Some locations will see upwards of 6-8" of rain total with this combination storm system.

Showers may linger into early Sunday followed by dry weather to start next week. Weather forecasts have much of the central part of the state dealing with Gordon's rain until the weekend. Major rises on the smaller Rivers can be expected.
