Dez Bryant critical of Cowboys, wants to sign for Patriots or Redskins

Especially when it came to their attack through the air, which appeared limited at best, as Cole Beasley finished the day as the Cowboys' top target, with seven catches for 73 yards in a 16-8 loss to the Panthers.

On Twitter on Sunday, a Dallas Cowboys fan begged the free agent receiver to call the team's owner Jerry Jones.

The team felt it was time to move on and the decision didn't sit well with Bryant as he continues to search for a new team in the National Football League as Week 1 gets underway.

Bryant was released in April after eight seasons with the team and remains unsigned.

"I rather go somewhere I can show case my skills for real", Bryant tweeted. "Washington is cool as well".

Bryant later posted a laughing crying face emoji when Cowboys beat writer Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News tweeted that offensive coordinator Scott Linehan declined comment after the game.

Bryant said he wouldn't mind staying within the NFC East with the Redskins and said he's closing the book on the Cowboys for good.

Dez Bryant has made no secret of his respect for the New England Patriots.

Upon multiple people in his mentions saying he was making a pitch/begging teams to sign him, Bryant attempted to dispel that notion.
