Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho says one more signing will be fine

That's after Mourinho said before United's opening pre-season tour match in the US against Club America that Dalot would be unavailable for the start of the season due to injury and that it was expected the defender would be "ready for September".

"Matteo wants to leave and I think when a player wants to leave, if the right offer arrives you have to try to be human and let the player follow his instinct but not at any price", Mourinho said, via Sky Sports.

Jose Mourinho wants two more signings before the transfer deadline - but is only confident of getting one.

"In every pre-season it happens the same with every club, which is the manager wants more". Normally you don't get what you want which basically happened throughout my career.

"It's going to be hard because he's still got a lot of players away from the World Cup on holiday and he's put the pressure on the ones that are there saying: 'Listen if you want to start the first game of the season, you've got to come back early from your holidays, '" Adam added.

It is understood that Mourinho would like to sign a new winger in this transfer window, and his scouting department has suggested that he go after Eintracht Frankfurt star Ante Rebic.

After finishing second - but 19 points behind the champions - in the Premier League, there is pressure on United to challenge Manchester City this season. So, I think we have fantastic players, but, of course, always managers want to improve their teams, but it's not my business.

"I am not a big fan of some player to start the Premier League with one club and a couple of weeks later the transfer window is still open and he moves to another club and he plays against his former club".

To add to their woes, the gaffer has revealed that he faces a lengthy injury list to add to his missing big-name players recuperating from a taxing World Cup campaign.

Mourinho has a history of targeting specific players on occasion and Ivorian central defender Eric Bailly has been in his firing line in the United States.

"You look to other countries and the countries with lots of players in the World Cup, they start later".

Jose Mourinho's side won their first ICC match 9-8 on penalties following a 1-1 draw with AC Milan in California, before they fell to Premier League rivals Liverpool 4-1 in Ann Arbor.
