'Fortnite' Season 5 is here with some big changes

The new crowning skin of Fortnite's Season Five Battle Pass appears to be a combination of God of War's Kratos and Marvel's Thor. A viking ship, desert outpost, and ancient statues have appeared on the island, changing the world of Fortnite as we know it. Hop in an ATK (All Terrain Kart) with your squad and uncover all new mysteries and locations.

Fortnite Season 5 throws a bunch of new stuff at Battle Royale players, dropping random objects around the map, changing up some landscapes, and introducing a brand new vehicle: a four-person golf cart. One giant map, A Battle Bus, Last one standing wins.

If you want to see all of the changes that Epic Games has made to one of the biggest games in the world, check out the patch notes over on the official Fortnite site.

The new Battle Pass also launches with Season 5, and as ever it can only be purchased in-game and costs 950 V-Bucks.

Lean back and release at the same time for a higher jump. The ATK has enough room for the player's entire squad, which should make it easier for squad players to outrun the shrinking storm together, or maneuver through the map and strategize a new plan of attack.

In addition to giving a speed boost after a long drift, and also boasting a very bouncy roof, the Fortnite All Terrain Kart can leap over obstacles. It's unclear what these Rifts can do, but players will be testing it out once the game's servers go live. Epic Games has also made it a bit more hard to "double pump" in season 5.

"After firing a shotgun, another shotgun can not be fired for a very short time". For the Nintendo Switch, Epic games has also included motion controls which can be adjusted in the Settings menu.

In 50v50 or 20v20 modes, you'll now get bonus XP up to three times per match for reviving teammates.
