Trump weighs in on whether he's deserving of a Nobel Peace Prize

A 2017 victor of the Nobel Peace Prize on Tuesday tore into President TrumpDonald John TrumpSessions unveils "zero tolerance" policy at southern border NY attorney general resigns after allegations of physical abuse Trump Jr. mocks Schneiderman after reports he abused women MORE over the expected announcement that he will pull the USA out of the Iran nuclear deal, saying that doing so would be "so stupid". "Everyone thinks so, but I would never say it", Pres. Trump says.

United Kingdom foreign secretary is trying to persuade Trump not to scrap the Iran deal. Not for even here - I want victory for the world because that's what we're talking about.

Mr Johnson said: "The President is right to see flaws in [the deal] and he set a very reasonable challenge to the world".

It's the second time within two weeks that a leading foreign politician has mentioned the possibility of a Nobel Peace Prize for Trump.

Mr Trump, criticised for inflaming global tensions with confrontational tweets, is expected to meet North Korean president Kim Jong-un next month amid signs that tensions have begun to thaw. "Indeed at this moment Britain is working alongside the Trump administration and our French and German allies to ensure that they are". Trump has long railed against the pact and vowed during the campaign to pull the US out. The IAEA has done 400 inspections.

Iran's president Hassan Rouhani said he may stick by the deal if the "mischievous" United States pulls out, provided other countries that signed the pact agreed not to reimpose sanctions.

But he has branded the Iran deal "crazy" because it allowed Tehran to retain its nuclear know-how and to resume the programme in 2025.

Iranian exports to the European Union increased by 375 percent from 2015 to 2016, and European companies have already invested a significant amount of money in the country, raising the stakes of any decision that could result in the deal's collapse. "Or do we work round what we have got and push back on Iran together?"

He added: "Let me just remind you, if they do get a nuclear weapon you're going to get an arms race in the Middle East".

It's a question that may also be relevant to the committee in charge of choosing next year's Nobel Peace Prize victor.
