Several storm chances starting this Mother's Day weekend

Tomorrow is going to be another dry day for the most part, with only a few isolated pop-ups to the far south late in the day. Highs Saturday afternoon will reach the upper 60s with breezy conditions.

But this weekend, a boundary is expected to stall over the southern half of OH, giving us numerous chances for pop up showers and storms through the extended forecast. Overnight lows will be around 49 degrees.

The weather service said there is a chance of more showers and thunderstorms Monday through Wednesday in the metro area.

THE REST OF THE WEEK: Not quite as hot but very humid with highs in the 80s.

Following Saturday night, Sunday morning will continue with the wet weather, as a wave of low pressure rides along the southward sagging front.

Widespread showers and thunderstorms persist Thursday afternoon. The best chance to see a strong to severe thunderstorm today is between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Monday is expected to be partly sunny in the morning. Temperatures will be a little warmer, in the middle 60s to lower 70s. Winds will be light and generally from the south.
